3 Executive Branch President Barak Obama was elected by the citizens (via the Electoral College) for a term of four years (Two Term MAX) Powers laid out in the American constitution signs bills into law passed by Congress (Senate and House of Representatives)

may propose bills to Congress, but may not vote on them, because the President is not a member of Congress nominates citizens to the cabinet, not from the elected representatives, but nominations have to be approved by the Senate
