Adult social care responds to a wide range of needs – happy faces from a young adult with a learning disability who needs assistance with daily tasks to an elderly person with dementia who needs emotional support as well as personal care. It’s about helping people to live as independently as possible, protecting them from harm and offering essential support in times of need.

Adult social care provision covers a wide range of services including; supporting older people, those with physical or learning disabilities, or physical or mental illnesses. Care and support can be provided within various settings including extra care facilities, residential homes, day centres or within the persons own home.
