2. What is socrative?
Socrative is a cloud-based student response system developed in 2010 by Boston-based graduate school students. It allows teachers to create simple quizzes that students can take quickly on laptops – or, more often, via classroom tablet computers or their own smartphones.
A quick and easy way to create and administer quizzes to evaluate student comprehension in real time.
Provides necessary data for educators to gauge what students understand, and what students need more instruction on.
Teachers can use this application for a variety of subjects and it can also keep track of grades as well.

3. First create your account as a teacher

4. Socrative quizzes
Create quizzes that are designed specifically towards daily lessons
Quizzes are kept in file for teachers to choose from

5. * To create your own customized quiz, on the top right hand side, click on add quiz *Create new, or import an already created socrative quiz from the world wide web

6. Next, label your quiz and choose what type of questions you want to incorporate in your quiz

This tool is definitely an upgrade to what was available before technology became a staple in education. I have used it for a multitude of purposes and it has given me great results in the short time I’ve implemented it. I haven’t yet perfected my quizzes to make them a “redefinition” tool yet, but I think this is a great tool regardless. I hope you can all utilize “Socrative” in your classrooms to enhance any subject you should choose to try it on. Everything can be completely customized to suit your inquiry.
