Bullet 2: The global conference profile is a mix of massive trade show and education tracks
Bullet 2 subs: This size event makes the mobile app a very complex product to condense and navigate into a useful tool.
Bullet 3: When you get this many people together, there is quite a large range of area to cover, so we need to make sure that users can map where they are and find the best routes to get to their next session, favorite vendor or networking events. The Find Me functionality is powered by beacons that we have placed on the exhibition floor and within session rooms at the Rosen Center, Hilton Orlando and the Orange County Convention Center.
Bullet 4: find old and new colleagues through our attendee lists, follow our social media needs to stay on top of what’s trending and get notifications throughout the conference on what’s going on.

5. Download the HIMSS19 App
To get the most out of your HIMSS conference experience, download the HIMSS19 Mobile App
Download the HIMSS Events Container App through either Apple’s App Store or Google Play
Search for HIMSS19 and then follow instructions to download the App
Click through to the HIMSS19 event
You will see in the container some of HIMSS’ previous events from this year. Our container app is a great way to organize ourselves and keep you organized as well if you attend multiple HIMSS events 5

6. Onboarding
Our onboarding screens are here to give you an overview of what are some of the components of the app that will help you to navigate the show. I will show you where you opt in and out in just a few minutes.
Opting in will give you the full experience:
Being able to see other attendees
Allow for direct messages and s from other attendees
Get notifications that will inform you of the goings on at the conference, and even more specific location alerts of things happening where you are on the exhibit floor
Enabling your Bluetooth is something you want to make sure to do in order to navigate the exhibition floor and education sessions. This is where the “FIND ME” functionality comes in. Your Bluetooth will be able to pick up the signal from the beacons we have placed throughout the conference and will not only find where you are, but will also be able to get you the best route of where you are headed.
We have various surveys associated with our conference…we have session surveys, the mobile app survery as well as the overall conference survey. These are important to fill out as it helps HIMSS understand which content and information was most important
By logging in, you can
Sync your agenda with the website. If you have already gone and favorited some sessions or exhibitors on the conference website, when you log in to the mobile app your favorites will show up here as well. Throughout the conference, this will always be the case.
See attendee lists. Without being logged in, you aren’t able to see other attendees or use the networking functionality 6

7. Log In Do I have a log in even if I’m not a HIMSS member?
Yes, if you are a registered attendee, you have a username and password
What if I’m a HIMSS member?
You would use your HIMSS membership log in to register
What if someone else signed me up?
They still needed to use your and create a password for you
If you are registered for the HIMSS19 conference you have a username and password
Your username is the you used to register and the password you created
If you have attended other HIMSS conferences or have attended HIMSS18, you would use that same username and password to login
This password is also the password for logging into the web site
If some one else registered you for conference, they still needed to use your and create a password for you 6

Maps show hotels associated with HIMSS19, shuttle routes, floor layouts of the OCCC, Rosen Center and Hilton Orlando
You can route yourself from your hotel to the convention center or from session to session, booth to booth. 7
