1 How to Read Your Audit This is a regular PowerPoint, use the right and left arrow keys on your keyboard to move through this PowerPoint.

2 Your degree audit may look a little
intimidating, but it’s much easier to read than you might think!

3 This chart shows you what the colors on your audit mean.
Completed: courses that you have taken and finished with a passing grade In Progress: courses you are currently enrolled in Unfulfilled: courses you still need to complete to graduate (courses that are not completed, not in progress, and not planned are unfulfilled) Planned: planned courses will only show up on your audit if you specifically run an audit with planned courses

4 The first requirements you
will see on your audit Minimum GPA: keeps track of your cumulative GPA and if it is high enough to graduate Total Hour: shows your progress towards the 122 credit hours required for graduation Upper Division Hours: 40 of your total 122 hours must be courses of 3000 level or higher Residence Hour: the last 30 credit hours you complete before graduation must be completed at the University of Utah

5 General Education Requirements
Each requirement area shows you: How many courses are needed What courses you can choose from to complete this requirement What course(s) you have taken

6 Bachelor Degree Requirements
Depending on whether you choose a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) you will see one of these two requirements: The B.S. has the quantitative intensive requirement The B.A. has the language requirement

7 Major Requirements Here you will see some information about your major: What college it is in The name of the major Some contact information Then you will see all the requirements you will need to fulfill to complete your major.

8 Informational Sections
After the requirements you will see the following informational sections of your audit: In Progress Courses General Electives Summary of Test Credit Summary of Transfer Credit Summary of Courses Taken at the University of Utah

9 In Progress Courses Here you will see all the courses you have in progress; the courses you are currently enrolled in.

10 General Electives All courses not currently being used to fill a specific requirement will appear in this section.

11 Summary of Test Credit AP, IB, and CLEP test credit will appear here. ACT, SAT, and ACCUPLACER scores can also be seen here.

12 Summary of Transfer Credit
All eligible transfer credit that has been received by the U of U Admissions Office will appear in this section.

13 Taken at the University of Utah
Summary of Courses Taken at the University of Utah All the courses you have taken at the University of Utah will appear here.

14 That’s it!! It might seem like a lot
to take in, but you’ll figure it out in no time! If you need a little extra help, schedule an appointment with your academic advisor at advising.utah.edu FINISH
