MY PERFECT Parachute

2. What is our experiment about ?
Our experiment is about making a perfect parachute by testing different variables and making a more reliable parachute and what variables can affect the performance of the parachute.

3. What are the variables? The variables are： Length of the strings
Size of the parachute
Weight on the parachute

4. How did we do our experiment?
Our objective was to make the falling speed of the parachute slower.
We did that by testing different variables
After that we compared the falling speed of the parachute .

5. Procedures In each experiment we made three different parachutes.
After we made the parachute we went to the fifth floor to do the experiment.
Once we dropped it we started our stopwatch and once it landed, we stopped the stopwatch.
After repeating it a few times, we did the same to the other parachutes.

6. Experiment #1
In the first experiment, we changed the size of the parachute and kept the other variables constant.
The first parachute was made with a bigger size and the other one was made smaller.
The bigger parachute was better.

7. Experiment #2
In the second experiment, we changed the length of strings
The first parachute was made with 30 cm string. The second parachute was made with 50 cm string.
The 50 cm string was better.
Time (6 sec)

8. Experiment #3
In the third experiment, we change the weight of the parachute
The third parachute was with 2 roll of tape. The second one was with 1 roll of tape.
1 roll of tape was better.
Time (6.04 sec)

9. CONCLUSION Overall a perfect parachute should have these variables.
A perfect parachute should have a bigger size
Longer strings
And less weight
