2. 2 Background Tata Steel is looking for year nine pupils who wish to apply for its flagship Industrial Cadets programme The 10-week programme will take place during term-time on Mondays between 3 and 6pm It will take place on the Teesside steelworks site The programme involves a combination of practical and theory-based classroom learning, as well as industrial site visits to see how we make steel Practical tasks include bridge building and wind energy challenges
