Please « discuss » one of the following questions : 1)Is serving (with) the Lord, a must ? Why? 2)Why do you want to be a servant ?
2
Do I have to serve the Lord ? Yes !!! Why ?? He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters. (St Luke 11:23)
3
I want to be a servant, because: I want to learn more about the church and my religion. At the same time this opportunity would help me to serve God and teach me to love him more.
4
I want to be a servant, because : I can't think of any other reason why my Lord would grant me this life and these days on this Earth... I believe that it is our purpose: « To love Him with all our hearts, life, mind, and strength, and to share His love with others so that we all may be united as one body and one Spirit to be with Him in His kingdom and rejoice in His beauty and perfection eternally. »

Why am I here ? No one is friendly to me ! Nobody even talks to me! I hope this lesson ends ! Ahhh …i think i have to quit sweets …. Mom could be right ! Talk ???? Never …. Will keep my mouth shut in front of all those strangers! What will this teacher do to us ? I bet that it will be the same boring way of teaching!
12
Hi Suzan how was your first Sunday school lesson ! Same with me, the class was very nervous, i wish i could do anything to help them to relax and work together ! Hi Paul I started by greeting the kids, and introducing myself as their new servant ! I tried to be as friendly as i could..but they were all so cold, as if they were sitting on a dentists chair ! First day in my Sunday school class ! Oooh … same as mine ! What happened ? It was a disaster !
13
Some hints : I would give some hints to help Suzan and Paul, when : 1)class members hardly know each other, or when you have new members ( which is something normal in Canada ) 2)class member are very cautious to take place in activities or discussions 3)they feel that they are not accepted from others. Then Suzan and Paul could make some ice breaking exercises, to create a warm atmosphere in class.
14
For example : 1)Sit in a circle. 2)One to one discussions 3)Personal introduction 4)20 questions game ! Dont relay on time to melt the ice as it could end by loosing your class !
15
« Break » and dont « Melt » ice!

So it is all about LOVE
17
Can «LOVE» be measured? Mr. Johns question on the first day ! On the same level : is it a sin not to pray, or not serve ….etc ? Why do I fast, pray, serve…etc ? For how long do I have to fast ? How many prayers ? How much do I serve ???

Which Is the First Commandment of All? The first of all the commandments is: Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these. St Mark 12 : 29
19
St Mark 3 : 19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, 15 and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons: 16 Simon, to whom He gave the name Peter; 17 James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is, Sons of Thunder; 18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Canaanite; 19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And they went into a house.
20
Our Golden Rule ! 1 Corinthians 13 : 1 - 8
21
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
22
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. Amen Make us worthy to pray thankfully: Our Father Who art in heaven.........
