3. a. Love is Beautiful (1) Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. Lose Love = Lose Melody “…speaking the truth in love…” Eph. 4:15

4. b. Love is Bountiful (2) And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. Lose Love = Lose Substance “ Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.” 1 Cor. 8:1

5. c. Love is Beneficial (3) And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Lose Love = Lose Reward “remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love… 1 Thess. 1:3

The Practice of Love (4-7) Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

7. Love is as Love Does Patience = understanding Kindness = useful to others Not envious = content Not proud = humble Not rude = seeks to be pleasing Not self-seeking = concerned about others Not easily irritated = come out of comfort zone

8. Love is as Love Does Not focused on evil = there are some good points Rejoices in truth not sin = happy to see obedience in others Bears = covers Believes = trusts Hopes = sees God’s work ahead Endures = doesn’t give up
