A LESSON ON LOVE! A LESSON ON LOVE!

Have you ever read 1Corinthians 13? Have you ever read 1Corinthians 13? If you have, remember what it says?

1 CORINTHIANS 13: 1-8 1 CORINTHIANS 13: 1-8 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Love Never Fails! Love Never Fails!

Those weren’t Paul’s words; those words were inspired by God and they show how He feels; they expose His heart and how He judges when it comes to accomplishments vs. love.

That means that things done without love, or things accomplished at the cost of showing love and compassion and care for others, are unprofitable work — a waste of time, idle work, useless work, work no better in His eyes than the idle words you’ll have to give account for. It says that if you do all those things, but don’t have love, it profits you nothing. No profit = No good. No profit = No good.

No profit means that it didn’t help you any. You might think that your haste and hurry and the lacks in your kindness and consideration of others will be justified in the end, but they won’t be. The end will not justify the means.

You can rush through life “getting stuff done,” but you will have failed if you don’t take time to care for others…

…to love them, and to even delay the more important things you have to do in order to show those immediately around you that you care about them and their needs and that they matter to you.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS ♦ Sent a big donation to missionaries in Africa. ♦ Free presentations in 5 slums & 8 orphanages. ♦ Volunteered 20 hrs. a week at the local hospital. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Walked ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Personal time with my family. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Help Jenny with her homework. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Time with Johnny.

There’s nothing that can compensate for a lack of love. There are no works that you can do which will make it okay that you didn’t care for those around you.

And since you cannot make up for a lack of love, the only solution, if you want your life to amount to anything in the next world is to show that love. Love is the only way to live. The greatest of these is Love! The greatest of these is Love! Love is life. Love is life.

LIVING IN THE LORD’S LOVE! Life has the extra dimension found in Jesus Christ. So when you feel that love has dried up, reach out to Him, and learn to love again. Life has the extra dimension found in Jesus Christ. So when you feel that love has dried up, reach out to Him, and learn to love again. Love is like a stream. Some days it flows and rushes, for there is plenty. On other days it trickles and you can see it bouncing against the unseen rocks. But even when love is dry and has lost its flow and lies nearly empty on the muddy bottom, there is more love to come. Love is like a stream. Some days it flows and rushes, for there is plenty. On other days it trickles and you can see it bouncing against the unseen rocks. But even when love is dry and has lost its flow and lies nearly empty on the muddy bottom, there is more love to come. We remember how Jesus loved, how He forgave, and how He reached out to show He cared. By using Jesus as the Source of love, we can fill up the stream again. We remember how Jesus loved, how He forgave, and how He reached out to show He cared. By using Jesus as the Source of love, we can fill up the stream again.

Jesus is the Authority on love. He loves when love is hard. He loves when love is rejected. He loves when love makes little sense. Jesus loves when others would quit. Jesus loves when others are ugly. Jesus loves when others are cold. Jesus loves when others are unworthy. If you haven’t yet, you can ask Him into your heart by praying the following: PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON TO OTHERS! PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON TO OTHERS! “Dear Jesus, I want the gifts of eternal life, love, and purpose that You offer. I open my life and heart to You now, and accept You as my Savior. Please forgive me for all the wrongs I’ve done, give me a fresh start, and help me get to know you and Your love. Amen.” Tommy’s WindowFor more PowerPoint messages click here:
