2 NAIC Recommendation NARFE Information Technology Advisory Committee (NIAC) Formed January, 2011 Final Report Delivered July 1,2011 Presentation at National Executive Board Meeting on July 20, 2011 CAB grew out of a recommendation of the NAIC report CAB started meeting in December, 2011. CAB can be viewed as picking up where the NAIC left off The CAB was formed as a direct result of the NAIC report so we need to talk a little about that committee first. NAIC had a broad mandate to look at IT and related activities. The committee quickly decided that membership related issues were critical and focused on short term recommendations that would help retention. 2/2/2013 Version 0.2

Evaluates proposed changes Makes recommendations to headquarters Creates a transparent process – see the CAB Website Process Submit change requests directly to CAB Member or via Website Requests added to CAB blog for comments by CAB members Requests discussed at CAB meeting When a decision is made the category is changed on the blog from “Proposal – Pending” to “Proposal – Final” 2/2/2013 Version 0.2
