4. During WW1 all suffragette/suffragist activity stopped and women instead threw themselves into the war effort.
In 1917 the House of Commons voted by that women should have the vote.
In February 1918 the Bill became law
The 1918 Reform Act was passed
Female householders over the age of 30 could have the vote & become MPs (all men over 21 were given the vote)
8.1 million women got the vote, 40% if electorate.
