Does project fit our personal or company strategy? Long term or short term? Why are we doing this project? Power, profit, prestige, competition, operating necessary? Relationship with/to other projects – impact? Too big or small or too many? Client’s expectations? Can we meet them? Scope. Cost, timelines, budget, quality? 1/18/2019

8 Formal selection process cont.
Define: Write the some or all specifications for the project Request proposals for the project = R.F.P. Includes your specification and invites input. Plan. Receive the proposals. Compare to your requirements. Use a selection method. Notify successful person/company. Draw up a contract or and a Charter (confirmation). Reference: Verzuh p. 22 1/18/2019
