English Reading Dinosaur Roar! Dinosaur Galore! Dinosaurs Love Underpants Stevie Stegosaurus Bug Club and Bug Club online RWI daily phonics. Writing: Narrative and description. We will be focussing on forming letters correctly and using finger spaces. Handwriting: Forming letters correctly and using some diagonal and horizontal joins. Grammar: How to write in our books and leaving spaces between words. Spelling Spellings linked to RWI phonics and common exception words. Maths Place Value To be able to count, read and write numbers 0 to 20 forwards and backwards. To represent numbers using objects. To identify one more and one less. To use mathematical language including equal to, more than and less than. To understand mathematical symbols <, > and =. . Science Animals including humans: To identify and name a variety of common animals. To identify animals that are carnivore, herbivores and omnivores. To describe and compare the structure of a variety of common animals. To identify, name, draw and label the basic parts of the human body. PSHE Democracy - voting Class rules. New beginnings. Topic – History Events beyond living memory: A study of the range of dinosaurs, including their names, their size, what they ate and a timeline of when they lived. Followed by looking at the discovery of dinosaur fossils. Music To use voices expressively and creatively by singing songs. Computing E-Safety PE Seasonal dances. Ball Skills. Art To use a range of materials creatively: - Dinosaur paintings and collages and junk modelling. RE Judaism. DT Making a dinosaur fossil.

PE kits Children need PE kits on a Wednesday and a Friday. Good to be Green Behaviour Management Every child starts each day with a green card displayed on our class chart. Consequence cards are given to children who don’t display good behaviour. Rewards are given to pupils for good behaviour. Spellings New spellings every Friday and tested the following Friday. Homework Please support your child by listening to them read at home and signing their Reading Diary. Certificates are awarded to pupils who read a set number of books. Your child may bring home additional phonics work relating to the sounds covered in their daily phonics session. Weekly spellings to practise. Reading Books will be changed three times a week. All children have Bug Club books allocated online and related activities to complete. Your child will be listened to by an adult at least once a week.
