Shorter your lens focal length =more depth of field.
**most of you have a 50mm lens, which is standard. You cannot change lens focal length without switching lenses.**
24mm (short lens) = immense depth of field.
400mm (long lens) = miniscule depth of field.

14. 3. YOUR DISTANCE TO THE SUBJECT
CLOSER you are to your subject, the less depth of field there will be. (SHALLOW)
**50mm lens will not let you get closer than 18inches.
FURTHER away you are from subject, the more depth of field you will have.(GREATER)
