1. Mrs. Jensen’s Weekly News What are we learning? Important Dates
This week we focused on the letters Tt –Zz, numbers 20 – 16, and our new sight words (a, I, am, no, like)
We read a story each day that was all about the letter of the day, sang songs to help us learn our letter sounds.
We are continuing to rainbow write, use dry erase boards, write on each other, in the air and use playdough to practice our letters and their sounds. Next week, we’ll practice in shaving cream!!!
In math, we focused on 4, 5 and 6. We played partner games to help us practice counting. We worked on putting our numbers in order from smallest to greatest and from greatest to smallest. We even arranged birthday cakes in order by the number of candles on each cake.
Painting with watercolor has been one of favorite art projects this week.
Our new GREATNESS word is KIND.
Please fill your child’s bucket by telling them how they’ve been KIND this week.
Did you know when we share a GREATNESS story that we put a warm fuzzy in our bucket? When it’s full, we will have a party to celebrate our GREATNESS!
