We deliver the 2014 National Curriculum through cross-curricular themes to encourage creativity and inspire children to learn. Through a cross-curricular approach, the children learn that the skills they develop are transferable between subject areas which will enable them to explore and develop a deeper understanding. Children making links in their learning First hand experiences are at the heart of learning. Love of learning!

13 Expectations Open door policy for your child’s class teacher. The class teacher should ALWAYS be your first point of contact. Raising concerns quickly so concerns don’t escalate into complaints (end of day or written notes) PE kits should always be in school and checked every half term for size and any lost kit. Reading books in EVERYDAY even on a non-change day. Reading records signed each time they are listened to.

14 Start of day/End of day routines
Morning All Y1 children will go through the back gates onto the back playground and will meet the teacher. They will then go straight into their classrooms where the teaching assistant will greet them at the door. Afternoon Class 4 parents will come through the Reception double doors and enter the class 4 classroom to pick up their child. They will then continue through the class, out the classroom exit door onto the back playground. Class 5 and 6 parents will go round to the back playground via the back entrance and will then go straight to their child’s classroom door. The children will be dismissed and then parents must exit the same way as they entered the playground.
