Benefits: Costed, clear workplan Engagement of the NCCs in the activities Involvement and contribution of different operational agencies Awareness of key issues happening on the ground and in GNC for the host agencies of the RRT Participatory approach for a number of outputs of the workplan Challenges: staff recruitment, high turnover (institutional memory) and burn-out (RRT and NCC), updating training packages, more real-time knowledge management, incorporating elements of preparedness, short-term funding for TRRT, how to engage more agencies (incentives?), contexts of repeated emergencies (new model?), how to better evidence impact

3 Inter-cluster discussion: WASH, Food Security and Nutrition
Country examples on the delivery of an integrated package Even with joint prioritization in terms of needs, this does not translate into joint implementation Importance of coordinating around outcomes, alignment of key messages Need to have early and repeat joint assessments, analysis that would feed into joint proposals Integrated programming: convergence in nature and not just geographical overlap Leadership at country-level? Common indicators and outcomes Need for continuum with evidence-based guidance Role of SUN movement? How to adapt programming based on the context

4 Pillar 1-Advocacy Roll-out Plan
Overview about the advocacy framework Group discussion around the creation of an Advocacy taskforce Key recommendations were given for Goal 1, 2, 3 and these will fuel tomorrow’s discussion as well as feed into a draft ToR for the Taskforce

5 Pillar 1-Accountability to Affected-Populations (AAP) Roll-out Plan
Overview of a people-centered vs. technical response Differences at organisational vs. individual-level in terms of implementation Key tips and recommendations were given for the design and implementation of AAP in programs General agreement in the relevance of framework, to be adopted as an approach vs. another check-box Ownership and steps for roll-out yet to be defined, as well as methodologies and field experiences to collect the information

6 Pillar 2- Transition Study
Evidence generated from 4 Case studies as well as best practices Better investments in good working relationships, capacity, systems before the emergency= investment before, during and after as CLA Structures and key questions, clarity on roles and responsibilities fed into Phase 2: Need for further practical guidance for transition out and for investments before emergency Updated working principles to devise a more purposive document Key informants interviews will be carried out and results will be presented at the Annual meeting in the Fall Definition of the ‘after’, how to maintain a coordination function even after? How to tie in a SUN lens to the draft

7 Pillar 2- GNC Handbook Revision
Project led by 2 very competent, relevant consultants by Save the Children-US 3 phases: 1st from March to July= Desk Review; 2nd from July to October= Drafts, Consultations; 3rd October until December= draft handbook will be done Incorporate learning and field experiences, update guidance Development of a consultative group of 4-6 members to provide oversight for the new handbook A technical reference group to look at specific chapters once ready
