How to Use the PMI Portal Portal Tutorial (Employers) Get started at my.pmi.edu How to Use the PMI Portal Thank you for choosing Pima Medical Institute as a resource for potential candidates for your company! This tutorial will explain how you can use the PMI portal to post a job opening at your company and how to search for candidates within our student database.

2 Using the PMI Portal, you can post a job for an opening at your company. For example, let’s pretend you are a company called AccountTemps. Go to my.pmi.edu and click Employer Portal Homepage. A PMI career services advisor should have given you a username and password with which you can log in. The username for AccountTemps is acco0375. The portal password you will use is 1234. Your portal account opens to a page called Company Profile. This one is already entered but if it wasn’t or if you needed to make changes, you can click on Edit. Now it’s very important that you make sure to enter all the fields with a red asterisk as these are required fields. Click My Company then Contacts. Click Add New Contacts. Fill in as much information about your company as possible—most importantly the contact’s name and phone number—then click Save. If, for some reason, the primary contact for your company has changed, you can click Request to Change Primary Contact at any time. Once you enter the new data and click Submit, the Placement Coordinator will receive an alert that reads “WP Employer Request Change of Primary Contact.” This is done for security reasons so that PMI knows that your records are not being modified by unauthorized personnel. Now, to post a job, go to Jobs then Add New Job then enter the required fields. It’s highly recommended that you check the required Job Skills making sure to use this scroll bar to scroll down and check all that apply. Once again, make sure you fill out all the required fields. Then click Save. You can also click View/Modify Jobs to make any changes. AccountTemps currently has 3 job postings. To modify any of these job postings, click on the posting then scroll down and click Edit.

3 You can also use the PMI portal to search for job candidates
You can also use the PMI portal to search for job candidates. To do this, click on Candidate Search, then Candidate Search again. Use the drop-down menu to select a job title. Then the portal will automatically populate the screen with students who match the job post preferences. Notice that only the student’s # appears. To sort the match results in order of how closely the student’s skills match the job position, click Matched Skills twice. You can see that 6 of these student’s skills match the 6 skills you entered in the job post. Click on the student # to see enrollment details and student skills. When you click on “Inform Career Services,” that student’s career services coordinator will be notified and they will immediately fax the student’s cover letter and resume to you.
