1 Electronic First Piece System Home Page
Tools Tab Added

2 At the bottom of the First Piece Request form a question regarding GEA owned tooling has been added
If the tool required to produce the parts being first pieced is owned by GEA, select “Yes” If the tool required to produce the parts being first pieced is NOT owned by GEA, select “No” If the tool required to produce the parts being first pieced is owned by GEA, but is not changing as part of the First Piece Request, then select “No” and continue the First Piece Request process

3 If the tool required to produce the parts being first pieced is owned by GEA and tooling data has not been submitted for the tool OR the tool has been modified, select “Yes” and select Add Tool

4 Select the type of tool being added/changed/deleted

5 To Change a Tool, user must search and find the Tool ID (system generated)

6 To Remove a Tool, user must search and find the Tool ID (system generated)

7 Once screen is completed, click “Add Tools to List”
Any Asset Tag Number or previously assigned tool number If Mold is selected as the Type of Tool, then an additional field appears specific to the Type of Mold

8 Once screen is completed, click “Add Tools to List”
Any Asset Tag Number or previously assigned tool number If Die is selected as the Type of Tool, then additional fields appear specific to the Type of Die and Number of Stations

9 The tools are assigned a system generated Tool ID and displayed at the bottom of the First Piece Request Complete First Piece Request process

10 To Search Tool Database
Search on any criteria or a combination of the search fields Ignore Customs Entry Information---will be used by Ronn Hauss only!

11 Search Results Displayed
Export results to Excel Internal GEA users can add a new tool without a First Piece Request Click on “View” to view tool details

12 Tool Details Displayed
Total Change History Internal GE only Tool Details Displayed Ignore Customs Data

13 Click Save to Save Changes
Click Cancel to return to Search Results Screen without saving changes Blue highlighted fields are required Previous Value Displayed Die specific fields

14 Click Save to Save Changes
Click Cancel to return to Search Results Screen without saving changes Blue highlighted fields are required Previous Value Displayed Mold specific fields

15 Notice: The Tool s have been added to the Firest Piece Process hierarchy
