It has rained a lot recently.
These actions started in the recent (near) past and their effects still going on.

7. I ate my lunch two hours ago.
If the action took place in a specific time in the past:
we use simple past tense.
If the action started in the near past and its effects are still going on / important.
We use present perfect tense.
I have just eaten my lunch.
It has snowed all day.

With Present Perfect Tense,
we use Past Participle form:
have / has + V3 (Verb 3)
Adele has gone to London and she doesn’t want to come back.
With Simple Past Tense,
we use Past Verb Form:
V2 (Verb 2)
Adele went to London last year.
V1: go - V2:went - V3:gone
