3 What is PARCC? The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a consortium of states that collaboratively developed a common set of assessments to measure student achievement and preparedness for college and careers PARCC is a mandatory assessment for students grades It is a New Jersey graduation requirement.

4 When is PARCC? Forest Street School will be administering the PARCC Test from Monday, April 16th 2018 through Friday, April 28th, 2018. All sessions will begin promptly at 9:00am Student must arrive on time. Student who come to school late will be marked absent for the test.

5 How is the test administered?
PARCC is a computer based test. Students will not be permitted to have phones, calculators or any other electronic device with them in the testing room. Students will be able to use a calculator and formula sheet provided in the PARCC Assessment. Students are not permitted to leave the room without an escort. Students are permitted to bring a book or something to read once they complete the test.

6 Attendance Policy/ Tardiness
Attendance will be taken daily. If a student misses a day of testing, they will need to sit for the make-up test. Tests will begin promptly at 9:00am. Students must be on time. Every student in grades 3-12 is required to take the PARCC Assessment.

7 Infrastructure Trial February 2nd, 2018 Time: Aprox 60 minutes
Grades 3-7 took part in an Infrastructre Trial. Forest Street School did excellent during this trial. This helps to prepare students and staff for the real test in April.

11 How has my child prepared?
Teachers have been working with the students in class on PARCC curriculum and content throughout the year. Students work with tablets on a daily basis to familiarize themselves with computer based testing and learning. Students are provided with websites, links, study guides and material to prepare them for the PARCC assessment.
