1 Overview of HVAC control panel
1 6 7 8 2 3 4 5 9 11 12 10 7. Smog switch (ventilation systems for cockpit and passenger compartment in recirculated-air mode) 8. Reheat switch (dehumidified air for cockpit and passenger compartment) 9. Adjustment switch for roof fan speed and temperature in passenger compartment (activate switch by first pressing switch 5 for temperature or switch 10 for roof fan speed). Also used to set preheater timer. 10. Selects adjustment mode for roof fan speed in passenger compartment (press to activate switch 9 for adjustment of fan speed) 11. Auxiliary heater standby mode 12. Auxiliary heater timer control (press, then use switch 9 to set the timer) 1. Fresh/recirculated air in cockpit 2. Cockpit air distribution 3. Cockpit temperature 4. Blower fan speed for airflow into cockpit 5. Press to select passenger compartment temperature adjustment mode (then set temperature with switch 9) 6. Air conditioner standby mode for cockpit an passenger compartment Important: Please refer to the vehicle operator’s manual for additional information on system control and safety precautions.

2 HVAC control panel – Cockpit ventilation
1 2 3 4 1. Fresh/recirculated air mode for cockpit LED “ON” = Recirculated air LED “OFF” = Fresh air 2. Cockpit air distribution Footwell, windshield and defroster outlets Notice: Air emerges from the swiveling air vents in the instrument panel (driver's position in cockpit) as well as on the other side (replacement driver's position) at the front of the vehicle regardless of the rotary air-distribution switch's position. The sliding adjuster on the vent allows manual regulation of airflow as desired. 2.1 Defroster = Max. blower fan speed and air temperature in cockpit. The “defroster” symbol appears in the display panel. 3. Cockpit outlet airflow temperature blue = cold red = hot Notice: In hot weather you can turn the rotary switch all the way to the left (blue sector) to obtain maximum a/c cooling for the cockpit. 4. Cockpit blower fan speed The selected fan speed appears in the display panel. Notice: When you select the air conditioner the fan will automatically come on and remain in operation at a specific minimum speed. Important: Please refer to the vehicle operator’s manual for additional information on system control and safety precautions.

3 HVAC control panel – Passenger compartment ventilation
6 7 8 5 9 11 12 10 5. Press to select adjustment mode for passenger compartment ventilation temperature LED “ON” = Set temperature manually (min. 60 °F - max. 80 °F) LED “OFF” = System provides ideal temperature automatically (70 °F) To select ideal temperature: Press switch 5 for more than 2 seconds, continuing until the LED integrated within the switch goes out. Press the switch to view the current setting in the display panel. 6. Air conditioning standby mode LED “ON” = Automatic regulation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning LED “OFF” = Automatic regulation of heating and ventilation The air conditioning symbol appears in the display panel when the a/c is in active operation. 7. Smog switch LED “ON” = Press to select the recirculated-air mode for both the cockpit and the passenger compartment. The ventilation system responds by automatically closing the roof hatches and assuming operation in the recirculated-air mode for a period of 10 minutes. The “smog” symbol appears in the display panel. Press the switch again to deactivate the recirculated-air mode and revert the normal ventilation. 8. Reheat switch (dehumidified air for cockpit and passenger compartment) LED “ON” = The reheat mode is available only at outside temperatures greater than approx. 53°F (12°C) and its operation is limited to about 30 minutes. Press the switch again to cancel the reheat mode and return to normal system operation. Important: Please refer to the vehicle operator’s manual for additional information on system control and safety precautions.

6 7 8 5 9 11 12 10 9. Roof blower fan speed and temperature adjustment for passenger compartment ventilation. Activate this switch by first pressing switch 5 or 10 to select either fan speed or temperature. Your current setting appears in the display panel. 10. Roof blower fan speed for ventilation in passenger compartment LED “ON” = Set fan speed manually using switch 9 min. 20 % - max. 100 % LED “OFF” = Automatic control of fan speed The current setting appears in the display panel when you press the switch. 11. Auxiliary heater standby mode LED “ON” = Heater active in standby mode LED “OFF” = Heater off The “heater on” symbol appears in the display panel when the heater is in active operation. 12. Timer (Refer to vehicle operator’s manual for information on programming the timer) Important: Please refer to the vehicle operator’s manual for additional information on system control and safety precautions.

5 HVAC control panel – Passenger compartment ventilation
6 7 8 5 9 11 12 10 Normal operation in the automatic mode: Press switch 5 (passenger compartment temperature) for longer than 2 seconds = LED “OFF” The display panel shows the temperature bar, which extends to the center of the screen. Press switch 6 to select the a/c standby mode = LED “ON” Maintain pressure on switch 10 (passenger compartment blower fan speed) for longer than 2 seconds = LED “OFF” “AUTO” and the current fan speed appear in the display panel Press switch 11 to activate auxiliary heater = LED “ON” When re-adjusting the setting for temperature and fan speed in the passenger compartment, always remember to proceed gradually. Enter your corrections in small, incremental steps, then wait to determine whether your changes have achieved the desired effect before proceeding to make new adjustments. Important: Please refer to the vehicle operator’s manual for additional information on system control and safety precautions.
