2. Impuritas Roles Within the Group Meghan Truscott: Director

The band we have chose to focus on is a local Kent band named Impuritas.
They are a death metal, sludge, death core band.
Impuritas formed in late 2012, with the simple goal of writing music and performing it to an audience.
The band is consisted of Tom Stokes (vocals), Alex Telfer (guitar), Mac Sullivan (guitars), Nik Cromeeke (bass), and Jordan Brett(drums).
They have already released their demo ‘The Human Condition’, in November As well as doing live shows throughout Supporting known acts to fans who love the death core genre. They are currently recording their debut full length ‘Sermons of Hate’, which will be released this year.

3. Ideas Development
We all researched other interviews to see examples of what makes a good interview. We would like our interview to be fluent, with open questions to allow the band to elaborate on their answers and make the interview less formal. We watched promotional interviews for other bands for inspiration and to give us an idea of how we want our interview to go.

4. Proposal for Video and Audio ( Treatment)
The opening of the project will be an interview with the band: ‘Impuritas’
Objective of the interview: To find out about their music, their fans and their future.
At the start of the interview, the interviewer will introduce herself and the band. The band will talk about themselves personally and what role they have to play in the band. They will be asked questions about their music, fans and plans for the future.
Leading on from that question, we will bring up one of their songs called “Plague of Vermin” and ask the lead singer what they like about the lyrics as well as get some information such as how long it took to write the sound and the story behind it. This question will then lead on to finding out if they have any big albums planned for the future. While answering these questions, their songs will be played in the background.
We will then start to close the interview with a question about their plans for the future and their next gig. We will then finally ask them information about their next gig and how people that are interested in their music can get tickets. We will then finish with the interviewer thanking the band for being interviewed, wait for them to reply and then thank everyone watching.
There will be five people working on this interview, the camera man (Andy), the sound man (Hayley), the director (Meghan), the interviewer (Charley) and the editor/clapper board person (Lilly).

5. Impuritas Platforms
We are not going to create any more platforms for the band, but hopefully with the videos we create we can enhance all of their platforms and give them a professional interview piece. For example, they could upload the videos to YouTube and then promote this by putting links for it on Facebook and twitter.
Impuritas already have their own social media platform, which includes; a Facebook, twitter, and YouTube account. They also have their own website.

6. Other Bands Interactive Platforms
Most bands promote on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and twitter.
For example, we researched bands and found one called ‘The Kicks’. They have little information on YouTube but have a lot of videos to look at. They also have their own website with lots of information.
Most bands have information such as what instruments they play, who they are and how to listen to their music.
