Notebook Entry: Look at the diagram for your solar powered desalination device. Are there any places on your design that could allow water vapor from the saltwater to escape into the room? Why would this be a problem for a solar powered desalination device?

Build a device that uses processes of the water cycle to gain freshwater from saltwater

Examine your solar powered desalination system and answer the following questions in your spiral.
Does it appear that some of the saltwater evaporated? How do you know?
Do you have condensation on any part of your device? If so where?
Were you able to collect any of the condensation? If so how much?

4. Reflection and Redesign: Discuss the following questions in your group and record answers on your own piece of paper. When you are finished turn in your paper.
What qualities made your design a good design? Why?
What are the problems with your current design?
What changes do you think you need to make to improve your design?
Draw a Test 2 Design- carefully draw a diagram that is neat and easy to read. Include labels of the materials you will use. Include a list of materials you will use for the redesign.
