2 Students will be referred to (PASS) after completing The Pinnacle
Positive Aid for Student Success (PASS) Program Allows a Student with Disciplinary Issues to Remain in School Contingent on the Student Adhering to the Positive Supports in Place Students will be referred to (PASS) after completing The Pinnacle Students may also be referred to (PASS) by the PST or Principal A Social Worker will be assigned to students on (PASS) for 18 schools weeks Parents will be required to attend 9 of 18 sessions Student has an opportunity to Regain Good Standing Volunteer Service will be an option to reduce 4 weeks of the 18 weeks

3 Students are required to present evidence of improvements to include:
Regaining Good Standing is to Encourage and Redefine the Students’ Purpose and Reasons for Pursuing an Education Philosophy: Problem Solving Teams will develop strategies to support at-risk students Problem Solving Teams will outline requirements conditions and standards for success Procedure for Students: Students can earn back specific privileges (Must be initiated by the student) Students are required to present evidence of improvements to include: Self-assessment and statement of purpose Observe school rules pertaining to attendance and HCS Code of Conduct Community Service if eligible (14-17)

4 Has been suspended Out-of-School during the current school year
A Student who is Approved for Good Standing Status can lose his/her status and be Denied Privileges if the Student doesn’t adhere to the Student Code of Conduct Has in excess of ten (10) absences for any one semester during the current school year Has been suspended Out-of-School during the current school year Has been assigned to in-School Suspension for more than three separate incidents Denied Privileges Field Trips Dances, including Homecoming and Prom Extracurricular activities Athletic participation and events Club or organization participation and events

5 As a Result of Losing Good Standing a First Offender Petition Contract must be Initiated by Principal Advise the student and parent/guardian of the student’s loss of Regaining Good Standing Schedule a conference to sign the First Offender Petition Document incident that led to loss of Good Standing Status The first offender contract will be forwarded to Behavior Learning to include documentation of fulfillment School Social Worker and PST will continue to follow while on contract

6 In Order to Fulfill the Terms of the First Offender Contract the Student is Required to Present Evidence on a Weekly basis Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the Social Worker Observe all school rules related to attendance and the HCS Code of Conduct Complete a self-assessment and statement of purpose, goals, and intentions Present evidence of good academic standing in all subject areas. (Most recent report card) Perform community service determined by HCS if eligible

Parent Educational Sessions will be Offered to Parents of Students’ who are Referred to The PASS Program Engaging in Tough Conversations with your child Encouraging Positive Behavior and Attitudes Helping Your Child Implement Effective Study Skills Goal Setting Grief and Loss Conflict Resolution Respecting and Embracing Diversity through Culturally Responsive Schools 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens (Sean Covey)
