“Hello” Experiment Heaven Moore, Madalena Silva, Braden Power, Haylei Smith.

2 Experiment Question Our experiment question was ‘Will more men or women respond to Braden or Heaven when they say hello’.

3 Experimental Design Haylei and Heaven walked around the school, and Haylei took notes as to who said “Hello” back to Heaven. Notes included whether the person responded, and if they were male or female. Braden and Madalena then did the exact same. Madalena took notes, while Braden said “Hello”.

4 Variables. Independent Variable: Male vs. Female
Dependent Variable: The responses that were given to the “Hello”. Confounding Variable: The area’s we were in.

5 Results Heaven Braden

6 Conclusion We found that more men responded to Heaven then to Braden, and in turn more women responded to Braden then Heaven. People were also more polite to Heaven as well, though people were polite in general.

7 Hypothesis We predicted that more men would respond to Heaven then women, and that more women would respond to Braden then men. We also believed that people would not reply that often.

8 Reaction Our groups reaction was not that surprised because we already believed we would get the results that we had. But we were not expecting that many people to reply and be polite about it.
