4. Reading helps us in so many ways. We thought of;
Planning a trip to the cinema
Planning a holiday or a day out
Cooking a meal – we would have to write and read a shopping list, read the recipe and follow it; turn on the oven and understand all the instructions for that!
Read road signs
Read texts so we can plan get togethers with friends
Write a job application
Read addresses so we know where to go and so we can use the Sat Nav.
Read labels on paint and wallpaper so we can decorate our rooms and get things that match
Be able to speak properly and to learn to listen to others well.

5. Work hard – you really are worth the effort!
Never forget that your learning is for you.
We want you to do well so you can have so many exciting choices as a grown up on the job you can do.
