The Corporate Information State
In the informational state the panopticon has been replaced with the panspection, in which information is gathered about everything, all the time, and particular subjects become visible only in response to asking a question. The panspectron which is also a control mechanism, with the additional features that it can manage many more subjects at once, and that the subjects of surveillance never know when, how, or why they might become visible on the panspectral screen (Braman 2006:315).
