20. Common Heart Problems Heart Valve Problems
Stenotic Valve- hardened valve restricting blood flow
Regurgitation- “leaky valve” valve does not close tightly
Heart Chamber Problems
Systolic Heart Failure- weak or enlarged heart causing left ventricle to lose its ability to contract.
Diastolic Failure- the chamber becomes stiff and loses its ability to relax and fill with blood

Coronary Artery Disease- arteries supplying blood to heart become hardened and narrowed.
