7 Indefinite Pronouns Indefinite pronouns may not refer to specific words They do not always have definite antecedents Ex: Somebody wrote the letter. There is no antecedent Common indefinite pronouns: someone, somebody, everyone, everybody, anyone, anybody, something, no one, either, each, few, both, all, some

8 Reflexive Pronouns Reflexive pronouns reflect the action of the verb back upon the subject They end in “self” or “selves” Ex: The students give themselves time to study. Common reflexive pronouns: himself, herself, myself, itself, yourself, ourselves, themselves, yourselves There are NO such words as “hisself,” “theirself,” “theirselves,” or “ourself”
