1. Meaningful thought-provoking class assemblies, where every student gets a chance to participate.
2. Best classroom practices such as target chart- which will help students to make their own targets for achieving success and work towards it.
Smiley chart which rates the attributes of the students and award those who display exemplary qualities.
3. Projects such as ‘Class-Magazine’, ‘I – donate - a - book - campaign’ is taken up to strengthen the vocabulary, oral and written communication skills .
4. Peer-mentoring system will be strengthened further to assist the weak students and the new admissions..
5.Various club-activities will be conducted through out the year , to help students to improve their inter-personal,visual-spatial,verbal-linguistic ,logical –mathematical intelligence.
6. Improve the teaching learning process in the classroom where the focus will not only be in enabling the students to score good grades but also to face the challenges set for the 21st century .

3. Your Valuable Assistance
Help your child to appreciate each new day and tell her that there are so many potential joys she will be coming across.
Read the school calendar to know the general rules of the school.
Please note that your child should not be absent on days when we have tests and exams, as this will create problems for her promotion.
However, if your child is sick, you need to produce a medical certificate which should be attested by the MOH. Attendance of students is very important.

4. Your guidance We have 3 tests of 50 marks and 3 exams of 100 marks..
Testing system will be in accordance to the department convenience and the students’ readiness to be prepared for it. However, the term exams will go on as given in the calendar. The time-table will be given well ahead, so that students plan and prepare for their tests and exams.
When your child is absent ,kindly ensure you fill in the application form placed in the reception and inform the supervisor and the class teacher concerned.
Every subject teacher will give the term portion to the students well in advance before the exams. Do call us if you have any queries regarding the portion.
The present system will benefit the students, only if they are prepared and understand what is taught in the class. So as far as possible ensure that your child attends school regularly.
If your child is absent ensure that you call up her friend to know the portions completed in the class in her absence.
Grade 8 students have Common Examination in English and Maths during the third term, along with their regular tests and exams. This is an exam conducted to test the level of students studying in the Gems group of schools. The students will be well- trained by the concerned subject teachers to deliver their best performance for the common exam.

5. Please make it a point that your ward’s fee is paid by the 5th of every month.
Help your child to develop fruitful hobbies such as reading good books, watching programmes telecast on channels such as National Geographic, CNN, BBC etc. This will help them to build their language skills and keep abreast of what’s happening in the world around.
Apart from regular academic work , the students are also empowered on their soft power skills by the supervisor and the counselor.
Peer-assessment & self-assessment methods will be followed with the guidance of the teacher ,to enable students to become independent thinkers.
It is mandatory that every student maintains a diary in order to write her day to day experiences, reviews of the books read, quotes and any other enriching experiences.

6. Help required Your ward should have 3 files for the following purpose
1. To maintain the worksheets.
2. Filing the answer sheets of the tests and Exams.
3 Retaining the question papers and using it to prepare for the final examination.

7. Your Guidance
Students should not carry unwanted materials(CD’s, Flash Drives etc.) So kindly check their bags everyday. We also expect students to carry books according to their time-table.
Coming to school in proper school uniform is mandatory and during birthdays or other functions they are expected to dress modestly. Kindly ensure your ward avoids wearing fancy/expensive jewellery to school.
Our students’ safety is of great concern to us ,so kindly keep an eye on their friends circle and to who they speak to.
Give your child the required freedom so that she feels secured to confide everything to you.
