Kate Simpson & Erik-Jan Bijvank Tools and Processes Andy Robb & Simon Miller Pilot and Engagement Deborah McBeath & tbc There are two workgroups which feed into the steering group. This slide shows the range of organisations directly involved with the Simplification Steering Group. Other bodies, such as IADC and IMCA, are kept informed.

3 Commitment Steering group led by Erik-jan Bijvank (Stork) and Kate Simpson (ConocoPhillips). Members; RMT, Cresent, Woodgroup PSN, Taqa, Nexen, Petrofac, Centrica, Amec FW, BP Meeting every 2 weeks to drive progress and meet July 2016 deadline All members committed to a behaviour charter to strengthen industry co-operation and continuous improvement and are prepared to champion adoption of simplification output

4 Simplification Behaviours Charter
This industry charter, signed by members of the Step Change in Safety Simplification group and supported by the Oil & Gas UK Board and the Step Change in Safety Leadership Team, is a collective commitment to work effectively, efficiently and co-operatively. It will be applied by every company and to all activities in order to achieve transformational change for the safety of the UK’s offshore oil and gas industry and ultimately reduce risk in the workplace. To promote the behaviours that will deliver a safe and sustainable industry capable of achieving simplification and therefore best serving its stakeholders My organisation will; Provide access to decision makers through a specific, fast-access point, in order to escalate issues in a timely and effective manner Strengthen industry co-operation through continual improvement and support for standardised documents and approaches Commit to continuous improvement through regular reviews of the delivery of this workstream Have a representative at every meeting Be prepared to change existing systems and champion adoption of simplification output  Advocate communication of this commitment throughout my organisation and stakeholder network This is the charter being signed by industry. 5 Workstream 1 - Tools and Processes
Led by Simon Miller (WGPSN) and Andy Robb (Centrica), supported by Emily Taylor What we’ve done… Gap analysis with current Toolbox Talks, POWRA and Behavioural Safety Observation cards Decision that POWRA will be called ‘Dynamic Risk Assessment’ Mapped out common themes, best practices, desirables and assumptions Determined definitions – what and why we are doing this, including where these systems sit in the job process Human factor analysis to ensure the end product is usable and tangible Created a Terms of Reference for the group SIMPLE AND CONCISE

6 The next 2 weeks… This group have an aggressive meeting schedule to meet the deadline of end of March 2016 to have something for the pilot sites to engage with Meeting 1: Focus on what we want the tool to look like. Engage with all information received to date and generate an outline for the DRA and TbT Meeting 2: Pull everything together, including hazards and energy sources, create physical draft document for review This

7 Workstream 2 - Pilot site and engagement
Led by Deborah McBeath (Amec FW) + tbc, supported by Jamieson Amott What we’ve done… Pilot sites identified; Shell/Amec FW/OneGas; Clipper field Centrica; Hummingbird FPSO and Barrow terminal BP/Amec FW; Forties Pipeline Nexen: Golden Eagle Each pilot site has identified an OIM and ESR as site champions UNIFIED CONSISTENT MESSAGE

8 The next 2 weeks… Weekly meeting of the core group established
Terms of reference signoff by the core group Group co-chair to be confirmed Outline of the key sponsors and site contacts to be provided from each of the sites to map out organisations Nexen Golden Eagle away day presentation (field managers, OIMs, Production Supervisors) Regular Shell – AJS communication call being established – to be replicated with other sites

9 Communications All member communication to be distributed monthly. Website updated bi-weekly and as required with new information Briefing note to be distributed internally Every 2 weeks we will update the slides on the website to reflect what is happening after each steering group meeting.
