2 Getting Started 1/2/2019 Choose Power Point from the Word Program or simply use this one to get started! Plan to present using the class computer—make sure it is saved ON A FLASH DRIVE or Points Possible 100 points for creating and presenting the presentation USE THIS PAGE TO PRESENT A GRAPHIC OF YOUR BOOK—BOOK COVER PICTURES CAN BE FOUND ON AMAZON.COM

3 What to include…. Setting
1/2/2019 Setting Describe/show the setting and time period. Add a quote from the book describing the setting along with a picture representing the setting

4 Characters 1/2/2019 Describe at least two of the most important characters What do they look like? Ages? Personalities? Do they remind you of anybody? Do they change in any way in the story? Can you use quotes to help describe them?

5 1/2/2019 Conflict Who is struggling against whom or what? Why? Internal or external conflicts?

6 1/2/2019 Climax What is the high point of the story? Describe it, use a quote and a picture…make it BIG!

7 Resolution and Summary
1/2/2019 Resolution and Summary Resolution: How is the conflict resolved? Was it a reasonable resolution?

8 1/2/2019 Summary Summary: be able to show you’ve read the book. What predictions did you make while reading? How well did the author tell the story? What makes this book interesting?

9 1/2/2019 Theme Theme: explain the main point of the story. (Another great place for a quote!) Use several specific examples from the novel to support your answer.

10 Author and Works cited 1/2/2019 a. Author: Tell us a few details about the author b. Cite the book properly! Last Name, First Name. Title of the Book. City of Publication: Publisher, Year Published. Print.

11 Finally, Explain how the story can be related to your personal experiences and/or other stories. (Use specific examples from the story.) Does this book relate to common human problems or world issues? 1/2/2019

Use examples from the story to explain what you liked and didn’t like about it. Great characters? Funny? Too serious? Hard vocabulary? Disappointing ending? Was any of it confusing? Did you ever find yourself asking why the author had a character do what he or she did? 1/2/2019
