You are to bring in a family picture or a drawing or make up a family of 5 people, or smurf’s or dinosaurs. (As you can see I don’t want to get too personal – so use your imagination if you feel up to it) Bring it to the next class as homework assignment. With the vocabulary you learned in the Family lesson, you will be signing “your family” to a partner in ASL grammar.

Create a dialogue with a partner in which family information is exchanged, including: Asking about any Deaf members of the family: Asking for and giving the names of at least three family members and their marital status; Explaining whether one has older or younger siblings.
