Same Sex Family  Children are sometimes reared by a lesbian or gay single parent or two gay or lesbian adults filling parenting roles.  Adults may bring children from a heterosexual relationship to these families  Children may have been adopted or conceived by medical procedures, such as alternative (artificial) insemination.
