1 Crossed Eye/Hand Vs. Uncrossed Eye/Hand
BY: Adam Thabateh Mrs.Ransom Science Fair

2 Question What effect does crossed eye/hand dominance have on basketball shooting percentage and how does it compare with uncrossed eye/hand dominance?

3 Hypothesis I hypothesize that there will be a negative effect on the crossed eye/hand participants. Studies show that being crossed hand/eye makes it more difficult to shoot because their hand-eye coordination isn’t as steady as people who are uncrossed.

4 Materials A basketball A basketball hoop
5 people who are crossed eye/hand 5 people who are uncrossed eye/hand Pen/pad to record data

5 Procedures Ask 5 people who are crossed eye/hand and 5 people who are uncrossed eye/hand to take 10 shots from certain spots on the court Record how much they made and missed Collect all of the data

6 Observation/Data Crossed Uncrossed Sami Kevin Omar Malik Chris 5/10
3/10 7/10 4/10 Uncrossed Rasheed Mike Ahmad Moe Kyle 8/10 7/10 6/10

7 Conclusion My hypothesis was supported. The uncrossed eye/hand people had a better field goal percentage. The average of the crossed eye/hand people was 4.8 while the average of the uncrossed eye/hand participants was Uncrossed had the upper hand.
