2. 【Background】 【Highlights】
According to the Biomass Energy Development Program During the 13th Five-Year Plan Period, China will give great impetus to promote the scale development of biogas. About 160 biogas and circular agriculture demonstration counties will be set, and the industrial system will be established and improved. By 2020, the consumption volume of biomass energy will amount to 57 million metric tons of standard coal. Hereinto, the consumption volume of biogas will reach 10 billion cubic meters. It is an important year for the National Energy Administration to popularize the development and utilization of biomass energy in 2018.
With the increasing support from the national policies and the gradual improvement of advanced technologies, China will further expand the future development of biomass energy industry. Developing the biogas industry is an innate need to meet China’s sustainable development, which involves the ecology, people’s livelihood, energy, economy, etc. and has great comprehensive effect. Especially the vehicle-used CNG, which is the important direction for high-value utilization of biogas, will develop rapidly in the future. Vehicle-used CNG user group will be the utilization market of biogas with the greatest potential in China.
With the promotion from both the central government and the local governments, and together with the participation of China’s enormous social capital, it is believed that the biogas industry will show a rapid development during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. It can be foreseen that the competition on good quality resources from all parties will be increasingly fiercer. It will become the competitive priorities to acquire government support, seek ideal partners, innovate new business models and improve the management level of technical equipment and projects.
Under this background, SCI invites you to gather in Kunming, Yunnan, to participate in the 2018 China Biogas Summit held from July 18 to July 20. All participants have the chance to interpret the new industrial policies, share the project experience, and discuss the investment direction and strategies of the biomass energy industry in 2018.

This project, as a national pilot project and new energy environment demonstration project, is emphatically supported by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Agriculture. Yunnan Shunfeng Erhai Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. is responsible for the implementation of this project. It is an innovative leading model in China. It comprehensively utilizes wastes and opens up the whole industrial chain of waste resource utilization. The project has been put into use in March It can handle 350kt of livestock and poultry manure, crop stalks, water hyacinth in Erhai and other wastes. It produces million cubic meters of vehicle-used gas annually, which is supplied for 1,500 biogas-used taxis per day. Then there is a field visit to the project, which helps participants to learn more about the construction, operation and technological application of the project and conduct in-depth discussions on the future development of the biogas project.
