The Black Hand-Serbian nationalist group plots to kill Ferdinand during his visit to Sarajevo
Gavrilo Princip- walks up to the Archduke’s car and fires two shots killing both the Archduke and his wife
Austria-Hungary immediately blames the Serbian government for the assassination
July 18, Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia
