9 Water and sdgs 13.1 Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters in all countries By 2030, significantly reduce the number of deaths and the number of people affected and substantially decrease the direct economic losses relative to global gross domestic product caused by disasters, including water-related disasters, with a focus on protecting the poor and people in vulnerable situations

Mapping AOGEOSS Initiative TG Activities with GEO Priorities AWCI Launches full-scale effort to active Platform on Water Resilience and Disasters by promoting dialogues, reinforcing partnership, sharing data, information, models, tools, experiences and ideas, and expanding sustainable practices. AWCI promotes initiative that will address targets in Goal 6 on Water use efficiency and Integrated Water Resources Management as well as SDGs related to Poverty(1), Food security(2) and Life on Land(15). *Scoring: 0=Do nothing, 1=less active, 2=active, 3=very active
