To import an existing presentation into the new master:
open and save this template to enable editing.
open the old document and copy the slides you want to move.
using paste options, choose “Use destination theme” to paste your slides into the new template. Your slides should appear.
IMPORTANT: You must now activate the footer by clicking “Insert” and choosing “Header and footer.”
Check three boxes: Date and time, slide number, and footer.
Choose “Apply to all” to save changes.
You may need to clean up one or two slides if the title slide template appears in the wrong place.
