1 What’s New in ECD V1.00.04 Improvement in U.I. and System Stability
Increase of Connectivity Camera PTZ Control RTSP Video Stream Integration ECD Failover Safety Supports Sony and Vivotek Cameras We keep improving QoE (Quality of Experience) for ACTi users. We keep enhancing QoS (Quality of Services) by increasing ACTi product connectivity. We concentrate on saving you time and energy at your day-to-day job. Benefits of Improvement in ECD V Welcome to another ACTi product presentation. In the following, we will introduce the new features in firmware version V of the ECD Improvements include a new and easier-to-use interface for PTZ control and a failover safety for the ECD device. To increase the inter-connectivity of ACTi products, we enhanced the quality of ACTi product services with functions such as RTSP and 3rd party integration that allow communication between different devices. Our goal is concentrated on saving you time and energy in your day-to-day job.

2 Improvement in User Interface and System Stability
Camera PTZ Control A floating control panel helps you to manipulate the pan/tilt/zoom of the camera and set pre-defined preset points for camera touring. In order to control the pan/tilt/zoom of the camera, the camera PTZ function will be shown in a floating menu, helping users perform the operation and set the preset points for touring. With this feature, a PTZ camera connected to an ECD-1000 video decoder with PTZ function enabled can be used in real-time. Real-time operation of the PTZ Camera, providing full coverage of the environment

3 Improvement in User Interface and System Stability
ECD Failover Safety The redundant ECD Boot Image backup chip can help the system continue to run smoothly if the main boot image chip is corrupted. Main Boot Image Backup Improves the system stability by using the redundant boot image mechanism. If one of the boot images fails, the other covers the system operation. ECD-1000’s new boot image failover safety increases system stability by detecting any operating system malfunction during boot up. If the device fails to boot up for three times and one possible cause is the corruption of the main boot image chip, the ECD-1000 will automatically use the backup chip to try to find the problem, fix the system, and start up with the previous configurations. This auto-repairing mechanism prevents the system from stopping.

4 Increase of Connectivity RTSP Video Stream Integration
RTSP Video Stream Integration helps you to record and live-view the video streams if the camera is RTSP-protocol compliant. A URI hint dialog box provides general URI command for different camera brands. As for connectivity: the new RTSP video stream integration helps you to record and live-view the video streams if the cameras are RTSP-protocol compliant. And in order to ease the camera adding process, the URI hint dialog lists all the common URI commands from various cameras to save you time on trying to search for the exact URI command. Save time for camera video integration Enrich your camera selection, especially in special purpose cameras

5 Increase of Connectivity Now also supports Sony and Vivotek Cameras
Sony and Vivotek camera are now tested and certified in ECD V You can now facilitate full functions in these cameras through the ECD, expanding your selection beyond ACTi and previously-integrated Axis cameras. In addition, the ECD 1000 is now capable of fully supporting the features in ACTi, Axis, Sony, and Vivotek cameras. Please check ACTi’s third-party camera validator for details on supported models.

6 What’s coming next? Feature ECD V1.01.00 (2014/5/9)
Function Description ONVIF Camera Support With ONVIF support, you can choose to integrate ONVIF compliant cameras that the ECD is not ready to support at present. We believe this open architecture system would give our users more options to select different cameras that fit their needs most. And save time for camera integration before the camera is fully tested. *Design and specification subject to change without notice. In the next revision of the ECD1000, V , we will concentrate on the ONVIF-camera support to help ease into a total solution integration for security management. This concludes another ACTi presentation. Thank you for listening.
