3 SECURITY IMPROVEMENTS

4 Password Strength Configuration
Who? IT Managers Value Proposition: Users have the ability to choose the level of strength of the passwords based on the needs of the installation Feature Detailed Configuration of Password Strength Parameters

5 LDAPv3 & Kerberos Client Authentication
Who? IT Manager Value Proposition: Customers can use industry standard LDAPv3 which addresses limitations of LDAPv2 in the areas of internationalization, authentication, referral, and deployment as well as support for Kerberos Client Authentication Feature Description: LDAPv3 User Service Kerberos Client Authentication

6 IEEE 802.1x Wired Authentication
Who? System Integrators and End Users Value Proposition: Additional security barrier added to the intranet used to prevent guest, rogue, or unmanaged computers that cannot authenticate from connecting Feature Description: NiagaraAX 3.8 provides support for IEEE 802.1x which is an IEEE Standards for port-based Network Access Control that provides an authentication mechanism to devices wishing to attach to a LAN or WLAN Requires the license feature IEEE 802.1x

7 FIPS 140-2 Level 1 Validated Encryption
Who? System Integrators and End Users Value Proposition: Increased customer comfort in the security of encrypted of data Feature Description: NiagaraAX 3.8 supports the option to run a FIPS Level 1 compliant mode that uses a 3rd party FIPS Validated module supplied from Entrust NIST Listing for Entrust Module The FIPS validated mode for NiagaraAX is sold as a Software Option and is installed using the Distribution File Installer

8 NiagaraAX Update: Guest Account
The Guest Account has been disabled in NiagaraAX version 3.8 An enabled Guest Account provides a decreased level of security for a Niagara system and Tridium strongly discourages customers from enabling it. If a system requires the Guest Account, it can be activated by ordering part number SP-GUEST-AX This applies to all hosts excluding Demo Stations

9 DATA MANAGEMENT

10 Series Transform Enhancements
Who? System Integrators Value Proposition: Provide greater flexibility to manipulate Niagara data sets for enhanced reporting and visualization Feature The Filter Node: Provides a user interface to allow the user to perform a BQL query against a result set of an incoming node, then pushes that result set out to the next connected node.

11 Series Transform Enhancements
Who? System Integrators Value Proposition: Provide greater flexibility to manipulate Niagara data sets for enhanced reporting and visualization Feature The Time Shift Node: Shifts the timestamp value of the incoming record sets by the amount determined by the shift. This way, you can have records from today compared directly on the X axis of a history graph with the records from yesterday by shifting today’s records by 24 hours in the past.

12 PLATFORM SUPPORT

13 Windows 8 & Windows Server 2012
Who? System Integrators and End Users Value Proposition: Run NiagaraAX Workbench and AX Supervisor on the latest Microsoft Windows technology Feature Description: NiagaraAX 3.8 has been fully tested and improved to support Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 including smart screen icons

14 UI IMPROVEMENTS

15 Scalable Vector Graphics Support
Who? System Integrators and End Users Value Proposition: The embedded Batik Java SVG Toolkit allows System Integrators to design graphics that scale without degrading the quality using SVG images Features Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) can be used in Px pages in the same manor as GIF, PNG, or JPG images New BPicture Widget Allows Scaling of Rastor Images

16 Asian Character Support
Who? System Integrators and End Users for Asian Markets (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) Value Proposition: Chinese, Japanese, and Korean users can view text in their native language in field editors and PDF Exports Features Workbench supports CJK Text Input Methods CJK Characters Render in Workbench CJK Characters Export to PDF

17 Enhanced Mobile Experience
Who? System Integrators and End Users Value Proposition: Create complex mobile views for facility owners and operators using only the NiagaraAX Tool Features: Absolute Positioning for Mobile Applications Reuse Existing Px Pages as Mobile Views Zooming on the Px Editor to Facilitate Mobile Design

18 Enhanced Mobile Experience
Create rich Mobile Pages that resemble the graphical images of a desktop Px Page by inserting a Canvas Pane into a Basic Mobile Pane and absolutely positioning widgets. Copy existing Px pages to a Mobile View by selecting the Canvas Pane in the Widget Tree of the Px Graphic and Pasting it on a Basic Mobile Pane All widgets supported by Mobile will be copied into the Mobile Canvas Pane Copy Paste Mobile!

19 Enhanced Mobile Experience
The Px Editor now includes three new tool bar icons that provide for zooming in and out. The Zoom status is now located at the bottom right of Workbench. Users can Zoom In x9.8 and Zoom Out x0.2. Zoom In to 9.8x Zoom Out To 0.2x Return to normal Zoom Tool Magnification Status
