1 Code 60 To enable marshals to work on the circuit with cars lapping at a safe speed. The order is given to deploy after a countdown of not less than 15 seconds, when a waved “Code 60” flag will be displayed at the start/finish line and all posts simultaneously The flag will be waved at all points around the circuit for one lap or until all cars have visibly slowed down, and then the flag will be held stationary Yellow flags will continue to be waved at the incident, but no green following What is Code 60 ? Warning given for flag marshals of deployment – at least 15 seconds Countdown can be given over radio At least one lap of waved flag YELLOW flags remain at incident location

2 Code 60 As soon as drivers see the “Code 60” flag they should –
release the throttle reduce speed to 60 kmh remain behind the car in front Overtaking is strictly forbidden until the green flag is displayed While “Code 60” is in operation competing cars may enter the pit lane but may only re-join the track when signalled to do so Drivers should slow down No overtaking

3 Code 60 When the order is given to end “Code 60” -
The “Code 60” flag will be withdrawn and replaced by a waved green flag displayed at the start/finish line, and all posts simultaneously After one lap for one lap the green flag is withdrawn Advanced warning CAN be given that Code 60 is ending Once Code 60 flag with drawn – replaced by waved green for 1 lap

4 Code 60 Incident occurs – covered with normal yellow & green flags

5 Code 60 Control to all points Standby - Code 60
Standby for Code 60 message provided by Race Control – no change in flags at incident At least 15 seconds, and race control may give a count down.

6 Code 60 Control to all points Code 60
Code 60 displayed at all posts (including incident post) Yellow remains displayed at incident location Green following incident is withdrawn

7 Code 60 Code 60 displayed at all posts (including incident post)

8 Code 60 After one lap or when cars slow down, Code 60 is stationary
