Congress had a big meeting to discuss healthcare for Americans.

4 Rebellion Fight against a government
American Indians had a rebellion against the British government.

5 Proclamation An official public statement, or to make an announcement
The British made a proclamation to prevent any more fighting with American Indians.

6 Smuggling To import goods illegally
Kim got caught smuggling cookies into the living room.

7 liberty Freedom from being controlled by another government
The Sons of Liberty was a group formed that fought for freedom against British rule.

8 protest An event at which people complain about an issue
Many people got together to protest the war.

9 boycott A group of people refuse to buy, sell, or use certain goods
Many schools decided to boycott Mc Donald’s and other restaurants that served unhealthy food to children.

10 repeal To cancel a law Since the boycotts and protests worked, Britain decided to repeal the Stamp Act in 1766.

The Boston Massacre began when a group of colonists began fighting with British soldiers.

Many students signed a petition refusing to wear uniforms to school.
