1 Drama Success Criteria
Grade Drama Success Criteria -1+ (tick at least 2 for -, at least 5 for 1 and at least 8 for +) I can provide suggestions in my group when asked. I can stay focused most of the time. I can show my understanding of the lesson objective in rehearsal, with the support of my group. I can sometimes communicate the performance intention I can often show my character/character emotions through limited: Facial expression, Gesture, Body language I can often use the space ensuring I do not have my back to the audience and maybe even use simple staging/blocking I can respond to questions asked by the teacher, although I often need a little help to clarify my thoughts. I can identify a strategy/medium/element used. I can identify what went well in my/others work. -2+ I can provide suggestions in my group without being asked. I can stay focused all of the time. I can show my understanding of the lesson objective in rehearsal. I can communicate the performance intention most of the time I can often show my character/character emotions through basic: Facial expression, Gesture, Body language I can use the space demonstrating some understanding of limited use of Staging/blocking with some understanding of entrances/exits I can respond to questions asked by the teacher when prompted I can identify a strategy/medium/element used and sometimes discuss either how or the effect when prompted I can identify what went well in my/others work as well as areas for improvement. I can often clearly communicate the performance intention I can show my character/character emotions through at least two of the following consistent: Facial expression, Gesture, Body language and sometimes consider pace. I can use the space demonstrating adequate understanding of use of Staging/blocking, entrances/exits and levels I can mostly respond with clarity to questions asked by the teacher. I can identify a strategy/medium/element used and discuss both how and the effect with little prompting I can identify what went well in my/others work as well as areas for improvement. Accomplished communication of meaning to an audience as well as highly developed rapport with other members of the cast sustained throughout the performance. Accomplished characterisations through roles that are highly developed including accomplished control of the use of vocal and physical techniques throughout the performance.  Highly developed analysis and evaluation during the rehearsal process with highly developed justifications of the changes made during development of the performance.   Highly developed evaluation of their final performance with outstanding analysis of how to improve for future performances. Highly developed explanation of the demands and artistic intention for the performance and explanation of how is communicated to the audience.
