The use of pictures make this advertisement very effective. Firstly the image of the dog looks vulnerable with its drooping shoulders. It is looking and almost sniffing the red gloves as if it is familiar with them and recognises them. The colour red is very striking and connotes anger and aggression. The gloves are associated with violence because they are used in boxing. The reader can conclude that the dog has been abused. Secondly the words ‘animals’ and ‘protect’ add to this. They are written in bold writing to emphasise the message of this advertisement
