September 26- Staff Dev.- No School!

Reading:
We will continue studying story structure. Story Structure is made up of character, plot, setting, problem, and solution of a story.
Math:
We are still studying addition! We will practice fact fluency with timed quizzes and other games and apps to improve our knowledge.
Writing:
We will continue to practice the writing process. This week we will focus in on the next stage of the process: Drafting!
Science:
We are looking at types of soil this week! Humus, sand, clay and silt are the four types we are looking at.
Social Studies:
We will continue to study the 6 REGIONS of our great state!
Handwriting:
We will work on the cursive letters – w, e, & l
Test and Quizzes
Friday – Grammar quiz
Friday – Reading Test on Story Structure
GRAMMAR SKILLS
This week we are studying Subjects and Predicates
