3 Use the body language of a leader.
Facial expression and body language “The Look” Posture and body position. “The Turn”--slow and deliberate

4 Use movement and proximity.
Move around the room to keep students on task and find out what’s happening. Deal with students’ misbehavior in private as much as possible. Arrange desks so there’s more room to move around. If it’s not possible to move desks permanently, train students to move their desks at the beginning and end of class.

7 Use the power of positive self-fulfilling prophecies.
Self-fulfilling prophecy: An expectation that causes itself to come true. Have high expectations for your students.

8 In summary... You are the teacher. You are the leader in your classroom. Use the power of body language, movement, and positive self-fulfilling prophecies to be a strong classroom leader.
