2 Enterprise: The Facts Family owned and operated: Ranked by Forbes as one of America’s Largest Private Companies Operates largest fleet of passenger vehicles in world Largest buyer/seller of vehicles $15.4 billion in revenue* Largest recruiter of college graduates in U.S. More than 8,200 locations* Official Rent-A-Car of NCAA, NHL and NHLPA Committed to environmental stewardship: drivingfutures.com *2012 Enterprise Holdings FY Results First, a quick background lesson on Enterprise to give you a better understanding of the road we took in building our employer brand. Enterprise is part of the Enterprise Holdings family, which owns the National and Alamo brands as well. We are privately-held and owned by the Taylor family. Jack Taylor founded our company 55 years ago after returning as a decorated naval fighter pilot on the USS Enterprise … hence the Enterprise name. We have a vehicle fleet of more than 1 million cars, and are the largest buyer of new cars in the world.

3 Business Model Hire smart, motivated individuals and teach them to run a business Completely satisfied customers come back — and tell others about us As we grow, open more branches and create new opportunities for employees Career advancement tied not only to fleet growth, profitability, and employee development…but most importantly to quality customer service As employees advance, company's growth drives their financial rewards and continues to attract more top talent Our recipe for success isn’t that complicated. We like to keep things simple. We hire smart, professional people and teach them how to run a successful business. To us, running a successful business means exceeding our customers’ expectations. If we do that, they come back time and time again…and even mention us to others. As we grow and succeed, we are able to open new branches and other lines of business, which gives our employees the opportunity to grow their careers with us. I’m an example of that since I started in our management training program. And we don’t just talk the talk. We reward employees not only on their branches revenue and profit performance, but most importantly on their customer service scores. And this is how they are rewarded and can move up the proverbial corporate ladder with us.

4 “Take care of your customers and employees first, and growth and profits will follow.” - Jack Taylor
These are the words with which our founder, Jack Taylor, started our company. And they have been our mission from the day he struck out on his own and formed what today is known as Enterprise Holdings. It is what each and every employee holds themselves to in every interaction with every customer. And for more than 50 years, growth and profits have followed.

5 Typical Branch 5 – 7 employees 100 – 150 vehicles Decentralized
Profit-and-loss responsibility Employee income tied to performance Responsibility to grow local business Those who enter our management training program are assigned to a local branch. A typical branch has a small but mighty team that is responsible for growing their business. As I’ve always said, it’s like owning your own business without having to put the money down to start it. And the managers’ income is tied to the performance of the branch. So the sky is truly the limit.
